    2. Students write letters to represent the beginning sound of the picture’s name – phonics (sound/symbol relationship)
    3. Students stamp letters to creat words. – phonics (sound/symbol relationship)
    4. Students pull toys out of a treasure chest and sort them according to number of sounds in the item’s name. – phonemic awareness practice
